The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Comes to Xbox Series X!

This morning, CD Projekt Red announced that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be coming to the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 in the near future.

CD Projekt Red confirmed that development started recently on bringing their master class game, The Witcher 3 to the next generation consoles. CD Projekt Red is best known for their Witcher franchise and for the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 game coming this holiday to both current and next generation consoles.

Earlier this year, CD Projekt Red made a statement that players shouldn't have to buy a game twice. This was referring to Microsoft's announcement of it's Smart Delivery initiative that allows players to get both versions of a game for a single price, and allows them to play the most optimized version of a game on their respective console. To go along with Microsoft's announcement of Smart Delivery, CD Projekt Red announced that players who buy Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox One will get a free upgrade to the Xbox Series X version of the game.

Today, CD Projekt Red stays true to their word, and along with the confirmation that Witch 3 will be coming to next generation consoles, players who already own the game on Xbox One will be able to play the Xbox Series X version of the game for free. The game will be released standalone, but players own the game will be able to get the upgrade and play when the game launches on Xbox Series X.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will feature visual and technically enhancements on the Xbox Series X, including Ray Tracing and faster load times. Small details can be found on their website, however details are scares as development only just got announced. The standalone release on Xbox Series X will be the complete edition, containing all DLC expansions and content.
