When Gears Tactics was show off to the world at E3 2017 I loved what I saw, but I was also left with the feeling why? Why turn a beloved 3rd person cover-based shooter into a Real-time strategy game, I knew Halo Wars was successful but not being a huge Halo fan I never really gave it the time of day.
Gears, on the other hand, was a different story, Gears Of War was one of the very first games I ever played online back in 2006 and since then I’ve played them all (let’s not talk about judgement ok) so there was no chance I was going to be missing out on a cannon gears story, even if it was going to be told in a game genre I’ve never cared about or really played before.
